名前は茶谷さやかといいます。茶谷という名前は珍しいのですが、宝塚だけでもあと２０件以上の茶谷さんがいます（昔電話帳で調べました。）さやかという名前は漢字にすると「瞭」らしいですが、中国語の名前ではなぜか「茶谷亮」という漢字をつかっています。アメリカ人には、３つも母音が続く名前は奇妙で中々覚えられないようで迷惑かけてます。2003年５月までNYにある大学院で、安全保障を勉強していました。同年の9月から１年間、台北の国立台湾大学にあるICLP(International Chinese Language Program)というプログラムで中国語を勉強し、その語しばらく台湾の政治家の事務所で働いていました。2005年9月より、ワシントンDCにある George Washington Universityという大学で、政治学の博士課程プログラムに在籍しています。専門は東アジア諸国の国内政治、政軍関係、及び政治理論です。Emailは：sayaka @ securitygirl.net （スペースは除く）まで。
趣味はもともとテニス（中高大とやってました）、ジャズピアノ、油絵、そして最近始めたのが（クラシック／アコースティック）ギター。フォトグラフィングもいつか勉強したいと思っています。読書は仕事（学生業）としても、ぜいたくなFun Readingとしても大好きです。歴史小説（池波正太郎や山本周五郎）や他のいわゆる私小説（大江健三郎や川端康成など）が大好きです。最近はGeorge Orwellの作品の読破を目指しています。その他に好きな事といえば、語学の勉強。中国語に飽きて、現在韓国語を主に勉強しています。韓国語の次はロシア語、スペイン語、イタリア語なんかにも手を出したいと思っています。将来やりたいことはいっぱいあって、大学の先生になること、中高生の教育に若手の学者や博士学生が参加できるようなNGOをつくること、Nation概念からの解放の方法を探ること（そのための軍隊の位置づけを考えること）、イタリア語でGramsciを読むこと（老後の計画）、一番使いやすい（個人）オフィスのデザインを考えることなど、考えだすととまらず、こんな調子で今まで生きて来れたのが不思議です。どうぞよろしく。
